The Ecole Brentwood School Senior Choir participated in Choralfest 2018 on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at Knox United Church in Calgary and received a SILVER rating from the three adjudicators. The choir loved singing at Knox, such a beautiful venue! It was a great start to Brentwood's festival season!!
Thirty years ago on February 13th the Brentwood School Senior Choir took part in Opening Ceremonies of the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympic Games. The 1000 voice Choir mostly comprised of adults with only two children's choirs formed the Olympic Rings. Mrs. Steeves was in the black ring and there were choristers in every ring. The choir rehearsed weekly through the fall of 1987 while Mrs. Steeves was on maternity leave! There were costume fittings, recording sessions, mass choir rehearsals, dress reheasals and of course the big day itself!1 What a thrill and what memories!!!
Alberta Children's Choir 2018 was very special! The choir made up of 87 choristers aged 11-15 from 16 different choirs was so special to watch! Their musicianship, passion and artistry was
incredible! The final concert was spectacular! Bravo to our three choristers on a phenomenal ACC 2018!! I was sooooo proud!!
